With a little more than two months until Election Day, the Tri-City NAACP, working with local organizations, churches and clubs, announced on Friday that it will host a 2020 census and voter registration outreach event next month in central and eastern Solano County.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19, volunteers at various “pop-up” locations will help residents with completing the 2020 census and registering to vote in nine hard-to-count areas throughout Fairfield and one in Vacaville, Danette Mitchell, a spokeswoman for Tri-City-National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a Reporter columnist, wrote in a press release.
Also, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), school supplies, food boxes and goodie bags will be given to need residents, she added in the prepared statement.
