K. Patrice Williams always wanted to help her community, so when her scheduled allowed outside volunteer work, a commission role with First 5 was attractive.
After all, Williams witnessed the importance of educating children during their first five years after witnessing her now-15 year old’s progression as a young one.
Then she saw the opening for a commission spot with the Solano Partnership Against Violence (SPAV).
“That just kind of grabbed me,” Williams said.
